We formulated this special “interlocking” primer after a heap of requests from clients who wanted a coating with special adhesion characteristics that make it perfective for most painted surfaces, exceptionally POR-15. Tie-Coat Primer is a very tough and sandable, non-moisture sensible single-component polyurethane primer. It holds hybrid polymeric resins which have magnificent adhesion characteristics to most painted surfaces, exceptionally that of POR-15, because we have matched and blended the isocyanate resin constituents of both coatings to make them to a complete degree compatible. Tie-Coat Primer is highly immune to penetrating topcoats such as enamels, lacquers, and two-component finishes (“penetrating topcoats” refers to topcoats with exceptionally aggressive solvent bases which may penetrate and demolish a partially cured base coat).
